More Recent Events

 

PRSA Longtime Member Steve Emerine, APR, died Feb. 13, 2009, due to medical complications. Emerine was 73 years old. He held several editing posts and was a columnist for the Arizona Daily Star and the Tucson Citizen. Other career stops included posts at The University of Arizona, the elective office of Pima County assessor 1973-1980, managing the Green Valley News, and doing public relations work and a weekly column for Inside Tucson Business. Steve has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Tucson local chapter since November 1991. He was president of the Southern Arizona Chapter in 1999 and received the Public Relations Practitioner of the Year Award in 2004. He was PRSA Member of Quarter Steve Emerine, APR.
