2010 IMPACT Awards for Excellence in Public Relations
Deadline extended to Sept 10
To celebrate the unique value and weight of good, strategic, effective PR, PRSA of Southern Arizona is debuting the 2010 IMPACT Awards. In addition to renaming our awards we have made several other changes, including revising awards categories and judging criteria to help more of Southern Arizona’s outstanding PR work get the recognition it deserves.
Anyone can enter to win an IMPACT award for a public relations campaign or tactic conducted between January 2009 and June 2010. We invite businesses and organizations across the community, small or large, to submit an entry, and to join us October 26, 5-7 pm for the Impact Awards Ceremony. Don't forget to nominate a deserving colleague for Outstanding New PR Practitioner, PR Practitioner of the Year or a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Michelle Strier, Impact Awards Chair, PRSA Tucson Board, (520) 232-9840
Jodi Horton, APR, has been accepted for induction into the Public Relations Society of America College of Fellows. Horton's selection recognizes her exceptional contributions to the advancement of the public relations profession, the Public Relations Society of America and the Tucson community for more than 20 years. As a role model to professionals and students within Arizona, the nation and internationally, Horton joins the less than two percent of PRSA's 22,000 members who hold this lofty status. Horton will be presented with her Fellows medallion at an Oct. 16 PRSA College of Fellows Induction Dinner in Washington, D.C. Congratulations!
