Kudos to 2009 PRimus Award Winners (more details)

The Lifetime Achievement award was bestowed to Jodi Horton, APR. Horton has more than 30 years of experience in communications and is the owner and president of IDEAS @ WORK, Inc.

Jan Howard, APR, was presented the Public Relations Professional of the Year. Howard is the communications director at Strongpoint Public Relations and is a board member for the Old Pueblo American Heart Association.

The Meritorious Service award was given to Lisa Lovallo, vice president and system manager for Cox Communication. Lavallo spearheaded public relations efforts for the 2009 International Mariachi Festival and is Chair of the Governor's Workforce Policy Council.

Luncheon Costs: Members $25; nonmembers $35. Sister communications groups (IABC, ADFED, TAMA, STC) pay member cost.

RSVP & CANCELLATION POLICIES: Cancellation of a credit card RSVP will incur a $10 fee. To avoid fee, transfer your RSVP to a future meeting no later than noon Friday before the event, contact board secretary Cindy Klein, (520) 349-2524, cfklein129@comcast.net. Members who RSVP with check or cash will be billed if they fail to cancel with the secretary by noon Friday before event. Attendees without an RSVP are not guaranteed seating and may be charged an extra $10.
